Biological resource centres (BRCs) and animal facilities
Biological resource centres (BRCs) are a key element of the infrastructure underpinning biotechnologies and life sciences. These include service providers and a sample collection of living cells (microorganisms, plant, animal and human cells), including sample constituents of these cells (such as genetic material) and related databases. Animal facilities are also a key infrastructure for research in life and environmental science.
In an effort to draw up an inventory of all life science technological core facilities, Biogenouest was appointed to draw up an inventory of all Biological resource centres (BRCs) and animal facilities in Bretagne and the Pays de la Loire, with the objective to provide public and private research centres with a list of all BRCs and animal facilities located in the Grand Ouest.
