Technical offers
The Protim core facility is one of the three facilities belonging to Biogenouest’s ‘Proteomics’ technological area. It provides cutting-edge technology dedicated to proteomic analysis, ranging from basic protein identification to comprehensive handling of large-scale proteomics programmes.
Applications
- Protein Identification for a given organism (Cellular and Subcellular Localization, Protein-Protein Interactions and identification of partners).
- Gaining further knowledge on Protein Expression Levels under normal conditions and under the effect of exterior factors (disease, medical treatment, environment, etc.).
- Characterization of prognostic and diagnostic markers
Scientific expertise
The core facility handles every kind of biological system. Dedicated technologies and processes are available to meet all your specific needs in dealing with biological research:
- Preparation of biological samples
- Pre-fractionation, gel-based or chromatographic
- 1D/2D electrophoresis
- Shotgun, Top-down, middle-down proteomics
- Differential analysis (DIGE, ICPL)
- Post-translational modification analysis
- MALDI Imaging
Equipment
Comprehensive mass spectrometry imaging laboratory.
Access
Rules for access: the facility does not provide services. Facilities are accessible to all members of the Biogenouest network as well as non-members. Two options are possible:
- Scientific collaboration on projects using cutting-edge technologies that require specialized engineers
- Free access, once adequate training has been completed, for ad hoc identification of proteins and data analysis. Facilities can be booked online on the platform website.
Submitting a project:
- Projects are submitted online using the Proteomics facility’s dedicated website
- Projects are evaluated and selected
- Once projects have been selected: a preliminary meeting is scheduled with the platform team to discuss the project (experimental strategy, methodological approach, agenda)
- Once Terms and Conditions have been validated, a collaboration contract is signed by the two parties
- Reception of samples
- Work is carried out in compliance with the agreed Terms and Conditions
- A final study report is submitted
